Extract Selected Pages from a PDF
Splitting a PDF is useful when only selected pages need to be shared, submitted, or archived. Page numbers start at 1 in the tool, so a range such as 2-4 means the second through fourth pages. A list such as 1,3,5 selects separate pages. Check the source PDF’s displayed page order before entering the range.
Validate the extracted document
After processing, open the downloaded PDF and confirm that the expected pages appear in the right order. Page numbering printed inside a document may differ from the PDF viewer’s page index—for example, a cover page can cause printed page 1 to appear as PDF page 3. Use the PDF viewer’s page count rather than relying only on printed numbers.
Common problems
A malformed range, a page number beyond the document length, or a damaged/encrypted PDF may prevent extraction. If processing fails, check the syntax and try a small range first. Keep the original PDF so you can repeat the extraction without losing source material.
Privacy and document integrity
The tool loads a free browser-based PDF library when needed, which requires an internet connection for the initial download. No paid API is used. Extracting pages creates a new file; it does not validate the legal status of the content or guarantee that forms, bookmarks, signatures, and metadata will be retained exactly.
